Derek starts the lesson with a starting exercise, the standard crunch. The next routine in the abdominal run is a reverse of the standard crunch. The closing two crunch routines are left and right side oblique exercises. During each exercise Derek breaks down the movements and notes when to breathe and when to exhale, emphasizing that proper technique and right breathing help you get better results. Towards the end of the video Derek mentions his own schooling method called touch schooling, placing your hand on the muscle assemble you are using to notice when it contracts and squeezes.
